Maybe you have already read my review about the Takaragawa Onsen – it was an awesome experience staying in a traditional japanese Ryokan!
As I am one of these person’s that researches a lot (and I mean A LOT) before doing anything or going anywhere, this was true for a stay at a traditional japanese guesthouse as well. And while doing that, I noticed that there are actually a lot of things about Ryokans that less data-munching westerners might not know about staying at a Ryokan. And of course i wanted you to be covered – so I prepared a Vlog about it: “How to survive your first stay at a Ryokan (without making yourself a complete idiot)”

The Vlog covers some basic information about what a Ryokan actually is as well as the topics:
- The thing with the shoes
- Yukata for beginners
- Time for dinner
- Where’s my bed???
- The Hot Pools aka Onsen
I hope you enjoyed the video – and you know, I am always eager to know what you think of it and if you still lack some info!
